The Far Eastern Freight Conference has revised upwards its members westbound Asia-to-Europe/Mediterranean volumes for the first four months of 2008 after two major lines revised their April figures and other minor adjustments for the first quarter.
As a consequence, the FEFC's westbound volumes after four month were 3.19 million TEUs, instead of the 3.18 million TEUs originally reported. The year on year is therefore 10.5 percent rather than 10 percent as previously stated.
The conference added that the estimated May westbound liftings show volume growth of 14.7 percent to North Europe and 13.7 percent to the Mediterranean.
