Greek drybulk shipper Euroseas Ltd. said Monday it has taken delivery of a 1990-built, mid-sized container ship.
The company said in late August the vessel was purchased for about $24 million and comes with a charter at $16,500 per day that extends until July 2009.
The vessel has a capacity of 30,400 deadweight tons. Its addition brings Euroseas' fleet to 14 vessels.
Shares surged 73 cents, or 4.6 percent, to $16.46 in morning trading.
