CWT Globelink has announced the opening of Globelink International (Romania) SRL that offers a full range of services to clients and supports the group's network.
Based in Bucharest, with branches in the Constanta port area and at Otopeni Airport, Globelink Romania is headed by managing director Ben Lim, who is tasked with developing and expanding freight activities throughout Romania to serve the region better, a company statement said.
While Globelink Romania focuses on the core business of LCL sea freight, it also provides FCL sea freight, air freight and customs brokerage services for both import and export trade to Romania.
The company decided to add Romania to its network as it is one of the largest markets in central and eastern Europe. The nation offers a favourable location that borders the Black Sea, making it well positioned to serve as a hub to several countries, with Germany and Italy being the country's largest trading partners. Constanta is also an important gateway to Moldova, south west of Ukraine, north of Bulgaria, and some Baltic countries.
With the opening of Globelink Romania, CWT Globelink now maintains a presence in 20 countries with a total of 90 offices. Other than Romania, Globelink also operates in Australia, China, Croatia, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Pakistan, Portugal, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UAE and Vietnam.
