Fujian's January ocean foreign trade cargo volume up 27pc

FUJIAN province recorded a sea-shipping foreign trade cargo volume of 12.7 million tonnes in January, an increase of 26.9 per cent compared to the same month last year, Xinhua reports.


Containerised cargo totalled 556,000 TEU, growing 20.7 per cent. In the same month, Fujian's airports handled 14,800 tonnes of imports and exports, up 47.6 per cent. The province's mainland-Taiwan direct shipping container volume climbed nine per cent to 60,200 TEU.
