Norden secures a five-year contract for coal transportation

Danish shipping company Norden has secured a five-year contract with the Norwegian state-owned mining company Store Norske Spitsbergen Grubekompani AS for the transport of coal from Svalbard to the European continent. Estimated volumes are 10 million tons a year. The shipments will commence in July 2011 and the contract employs approximately 3,000 panamax ship days.
