AADA increases bunker surcharge to US$575/TEU, $1,150/FEU

MEMBER lines of the Asia Australia Discussion are increasing the bunker surcharges on shipments from Japan, Korea, mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to ports in Australia to US$575 per TEU and US$1,150 per FEU for dry and refrigerated containers April 16.


This, said the AADA statement, reflects "recent increases in the price of oil at Hong Kong and South Korea. Customers requiring further information concerning the bunker surcharge are advised to contact the member lines."


AADA member lines are ANL, CSCL, Cosco, Hamburg Sud, Hanjin, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai, "K" Line, Maersk, MSC, MOL, NYK, OOCL, Gold Star and Zim.
