OOCL introduces iPhone shipping schedule access

HONG KONG'S Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has introduced its OOCL Lite iPhone App (OOCL Lite), allowing users to access real time sailing schedules of vessels 24/7 from their iPhones.


OOCL Lite is one of OOCL's IT products developed by CargoSmart, an independent company with the shipping company investing in it to enhance customer-service capabilities and operational efficiency.


OOCL Lite enables customers to search schedules by the names of cities of origin and destination, select cities from pull-down menus to avoid misspellings, view origin/destination cities, departure/arrival dates and transit times, drill down into individual schedule details including vessel voyage and service, container yard cutoffs, haulage and the final destination hubs.


OOCL Lite is now available for download at the App Store and the demonstration videos can be viewed in English on OOCL YouTube and Mandarin on Youku Channels.
