GERMANY'S Hapag-Lloyd and Thailand's Regional Container Lines (RCL) will start a new weekly service in April from China and Korea to Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan to be operated under the name CIS (Hapag-Lloyd) and RCI respectively.
The service will deploy three vessels with an average capacity of 2,000 TEU on fixed day sailings between the major ports in these countries, said a statement from the German carrier.
The first departure from Qingdao will commence from the beginning of April with the following port rotation: Qingdao, Xingang, Busan, Shanghai, Shenzhen-Da Chan Bay, Singapore, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Karachi, Singapore and back to Qingdao.
