EverokGroup named World's Best Agent at WCAF conference

THE World Cargo Alliance (WCA) 2011 Annual Conference held recently in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, attracted 1,600 independent international freight forwarders and logistics representatives from 160 countries and regions.


The first four days of the conference were aimed at strengthening cooperation and creating new business relationships among participants by serving as a networking forum. This was followed by the WCA Family of Logistic Networks (WCAF) Conference held from February 24-27 that combined the annual conferences of transportation organisations APLN, IGLN and CGLN.


Shanghai-based EverokGroup International Forwarding, a logistics group that focuses on the global trade routes with North America, received for the first time the World's Best Agent award at the WCAF-IGLN Annual Conference, becoming the first domestic logistics enterprise in mainland China to receive the accolade. Furthermore, the firm was honoured for a second time as the Best Agents in Asia by the WCAF-IGLN.


Since joining the WCA and implementing the organisation's advanced management practices and e-commerce systems, EverokGroup said in a statement that it has "won the trust of customers and overseas agents, famous in the international logistics industry," said company president Billy Hu who received the award at the conference.


The World Cargo Alliance is a founding group of the WCA Family of Logistic Networks (WCAF) that has 3,600 member companies in over 173 countries and regions worldwide. According to EverokGroup, this puts the WCAF organisation in a position to exert a global influence over the world's largest logistics network alliance.
