HHI aims 20 newbuildings for Gunsan yard

Hyundai Heavy Industries's (HHI） Gunsan shipyard has received 14 newbuildings orders this year with a sharp growth against 3 ships of 2009 and 9 of 2010. The yard expects to bag 20 newbuildings this year. The yard won 320,000dwt large oil tankers for the first time this year.

"We need a big number of workers to build large-size bulkers of over 180,000-dwt and 14 oil tankers of between 200,000 and 320,000 DWT. If we meet our new order target for this year of 20 newbuildings, at least 6,000 workers are required, I guess." official from the yard said.
