Huanghai Shipbuilding wins 7 MPPs contract

Chinese shipbuilder Huanghai Shipbuilding has signed a newbuilding contract with Ethiopian shipowner ESL to build seven 28,000dwt multi purpose cargo carriers at a price of $32.5m per unit. The vessels are due for delivery between August 2012 and December 2014.


It is the largest newbuilding contract that Shandong-based shipbuilder has received this year.
