Damco names new head of field sales for northern UK

DAMCO, a provider of supply chain solutions and freight forwarding services, has announced the appointment of John McKail as its new head of field sales, northern UK. He joins Damco from Agility where he was formally national sales director.


A company statement said that Mr McKail "brings considerable experience to Damco with a track record of building successful sales teams, mentoring people and delivering consistent results." With a career spanning 25 years, he previously held senior commercial positions La Poste and UPS as well as Agility.


Said Mr McKail: "I relish the challenge of my new appointment and look forwards to contributing to the future success of the organisation."


Said UK-Ireland chief commercial officer Richard Morgan: "John is a great addition to our commercial management team. I strongly believe that we can greatly improve our existing presence in the northern half of the UK and John's expertise and network in that area will be invaluable in ensuring we meet our aspirations."
