LUFTHANSA CARGO has announced that the Cargo Climate Care Conference 2011 ("Energy efficiency in air cargo: Reality and Vision") for representatives from the logistics and air freight industry will be held on Tuesday March 1 at the Sheraton Hotel near Frankfurt Airport's Terminal 1.
The conference will discuss whether "logistics companies are increasingly challenged to find solutions in pursuit of their economic and ecological objectives," said a statement from the German carrier. It said the event will also focus on the issues of what is gained from "eco-balances and carbon footprints" and whether alternative fuels really are an alternative.
It said that at the end of the conference customers and staff of Lufthansa Cargo, as well as young scientists, will be awarded "for developing new ways of improving the climate balance of air cargo traffic with the Cargo Climate Care Award."
The conference will be conducted in German with simultaneous translation into English.
To participate in the event, contact Carolin Biebrach (via e-mail carolin.biebrach@dlh.de or via phone +49 6969657138) by February 18.
