MOL appoints sales managers for US reefer business

JAPANESE multi-modal transport and logistics firm MOL has announced a restructuring of its refrigerated sales and trade team in its three US sales regions by assigning sales managers to develop new reefer initiatives.


Mark McQueen has been appointed regional manager, reefer sales, Atlantic region; Larry Flading, regional manager, reefer sales, central region and Pat Ryan, regional manager, reefer sales, Pacific.


"Our new organisation is structured in a way that is closer to the customer and markets critical to the refrigerated commodity sector," said executive vice president Tom Kelly. "These individuals will concentrate on providing the highest quality of service and developing growth opportunities for our customers and MOL."


In addition, Lincoln Pei has been appointed director of refrigerated services. He reports to Tsunemichi Mukai, vice president, transpacific, Caribbean and Latin trades.


"Mark, Larry, and Pat are experienced sales managers who will be deployed as an integrated team to work directly with Mr Pei and sales management to achieve MOL's growth and objectives in refrigerated commodities," said Mr Kelly.


Mr McQueen joined MOL in 1989 where he has held various positions, including sales manager, south-east; and regional sales manager, south-east and Gulf region. Mr Flading entered the company in 1990 and has worked in both sales and customer service. Since joining MOL in 1978 Mr Ryan has been employed with the company as a sales representative, sales manager and regional sales manager.


As for Mr Pei he has been with MOL since 1993, and most recently served as director of alliance and network planning. Previously, he held positions in equipment control, rail, sales, trade management and yield management.
