Court rules CNRG to pay RUB 37,1m in favor of Krasniye Barrikady Shipyard

The Arbitration Court of Appeal of Astrakhan region in its decision on February 2, 2011 partially upheld a claim of Krasniye Barrikady Shipyard against Caspian Energy Group to recover 37,146,080 rubles for damages to business reputation and property losses, the court said.


The sum includes the amount of loss of profit from the failed contract with Aker Offshore Oy (Finland) for construction of 2 modules for the Kashagan deposit (Kazakhstan) and compensation for damage of business reputation.


Caspian Energy Group (CNRG Group) was established in 2006. Key activities include design, construction and marine heavy-lift operations for offshore oil and gas deposits.


OJSC Shipyard Krasniye Barrikady (Astrakhan region) specializes in construction of tanker hulls, installation and reconstruction of the drilling rigs.
