Fourth of Six Newbuildings Delivered

Chipolbrok has taken delivery of the Chipolbrok Galaxy, the fourth of six multipurpose vessels ordered by the Shanghai-based carrier.


The 30,000-deadweight-ton newbuilding with a maximum lifting capacity of 640 tons has been designed for the transportation of breakbulk and project cargo on Chipolbrok’s global liner services. The Galaxy will arrive in Antwerp at the end of March, according to a statement from Ahlers.


The final two vessels in the series will be delivered during 2012.


Chipolbrok offers regular east-bound and west-bound round the world services.
