Sperry Marine expands operations in China

Northrop Grumman Corp.'s Sperry Marine has completed an expansion of its commercial marine service operations in Shanghai.

Sperry Marine's Shanghai facility was expanded by more than 4,700 square feet and includes a full complement of depot stores. The staff at the facility was also doubled.

The company said it's now able to provide aster and more responsive shipboard service for bridge navigation and communications electronics in China. The spares inventory is supplemented, replenished and distributed throughout the region by Sperry Marine's Asia Pacific distribution center in Singapore. The China operation provides installations of integrated bridge systems and other equipment in China's major commercial shipyards.

Sperry Marine also operates in the Guangzhou and Dalian areas of China, and continues to maintain major spares distribution and repair centers in Rotterdam and New Orleans as part of the company's worldwide ServiceNet group.
