HOEGH AUTOLINER, a leading Norwegian ro-ro carrier, has launched a direct call from the US east coast, Middle East, Port Klang, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan starting December 2010 with a once-a-month sailing frequency.

The ro-ro carrier appointed Jardine Shipping Services as their agent for southeast Asian services in April, using Singapore as their transhipment hub with 11 to 15 sailings per month.

It has made direct calls at Laem Chabang, a city in Chonburi province of Thailand, to cater for automobile exports from the nation.

Also, Hoegh Autoliner has deployed a fleet equipped with 20-foot, 40-foot and 60-foot roll trailers to handle versatile over-sized break bulk and project cargo up to 100 tons with a length of 20 metres, such as crane parts, cable drums, boats, machinery mining, construction equipment, etc.
