DENMARK's United Nordic Shipping (UNS) and Singapore's Keystone Logistic Services have announced an alliance called UNS (Asia) to cover their activities in the Asia-India-Oceanic region effective January 1.
"To have our own set-up in Asia was part of the original plan for United Nordic Shipping, and we are very happy to team up with Keystone, a professional and respected player with a huge network in Asia," said United Nordic CEO Soeren Andersen.
Said Keystone director Masumi Matsukawa: "Our alliance will give us a strong platform which will further enhance our scope and benefit our customers."
United Nordic Shipping is a newly formed Danish partnership between Thor Rederi A/S and Rederiet Otto Danielsen A/S which focuses on small to medium-sized multipurpose and containerships with 18 vessels trading worldwide.
Keystone Logistic Services, incorporated in June 1991, is a wholly owned private partnership in Singapore, which provides shipping, chartering, brokerage, forwarding, transshipment, agency and logistic services for dry and project cargo.
As commercial shipbrokers, Keystone has worked closely together with Thor Rederi for many years.
