TSA's US west coast rate up US$400 per FEU in May

THE Transpacific Stabilisation Agreement (TSA) has announced a 2011-12 voluntary guideline contract programme for its member carriers, suggesting rates rise US$400 per FEU for the US west coast and $600 elsewhere from May 1.


Also, it put forward full recovery of costs, including collection of floating bunker and inland fuel charges as well as Panama Canal, Alameda Corridor and other fixed subordinate charges.


Additionally, TSA recommends a peak season surcharge of $400 per FEU from June 15 to November 30, 2011.


TSA members include APL, Hyundai Merchant Marine, CSCL, "K" Line, CMA-CGM, MSC, Cosco, NYK, Evergreen, OOCL, Hanjin, Yangming, Hapag-Lloyd and Zim.
