MSC adds 8,000-TEU ships to Asia-S Africa/Mauritius service

MSC has deployed two 8,000-TEU ships, the MSC Maeva and the MSC Lucy, on its Far East-South Africa Cheetah service.

The ships are scheduled to call at Port Louis, Mauritius and Durban, South African.

The two vessels deployed on the service have been removed from MSC's east-west loops through cascading, after taking delivery of 14,000-TEU ships, of which 16 have already been delivered, said Alphaliner.

It added MSC used to deploy ships of 4,000- to 6,000-TEU on the Cheetah service.
