ISRAEL's Zim Line has launched a weekly north Europe to west Africa service, which is part of a slot-exchange agreement with Hapag-Lloyd, enabling Zim's customers to use MOL's African Rainbow (ARN) between north Europe and west Africa in addition to the present NAF service.
A two-string service is offered, including: a) Amsterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Dakar, Lagos (Tin Can Island), Tema, Abidjan, San Pedro and back to Amsterdam; b) Antwerp, Thamesport, Dakar, Tema, Lagos (Tin Can Island), Abidjan, Vigo and back to Antwerp.
Zim currently offers three routes for African trades: NAF - north Europe and West Africa by a two-sting service; MAF - Mediterranean and west Africa, including transshipment from Americas to west Africa via Tarragona; EAS - Mediterranean, east and South Africa, connecting American cargo to East Africa and South Africa via Zim's Mediterranean hub.
