Xu Lirong appointed as new Cosco Pacific chairman

COSCO Pacific, Cosco's terminal operator, announced it has appointed its non-executive director Xu Lirong to be the new chairman, replacing Chen Hongsheng with immediate effect.

The Hong Kong-listed company said it also appointed Wang Zenghua and Feng Jinhua as executive directors, replacing Li Jianhong and Sun Yueying, who both resigned.

It said in a statement that the above reorganisation in senior management was "due to the change of work designation of the directors", emphasising that all resigned senior executives "have no disagreement with the board".
