CWT Globelink branches out into Eastern Europe

AS part of its overall strategic network expansion, CWT Globelink has announced the establishment of Globelink EG Sol Slovenia in Ljubljana, Slovenia founded because Slovenia is an important gateway to eastern Europe via Koper port.


Globelink Slovenia is headed by managing director Dare Radojevic and assisted by operations manager Mojca Kosir. Both Mr Dare and Ms Mojca have been in this market for over 15 years and possess a deep knowledge of the industry.


Based in Slovenia, with a branch office in Croatia, Globelink Slovenia is able to offer a wide range of services to complement the Globelink network and will be able to tap into the growing Croatian markets, as well as to develop more direct services through Rijeka in future to complement services via Koper.


"Globelink has identified a few key growth areas to accord more developmental focus in the coming years. The eastern Europe market in general and the former Yugoslavia are identified growth areas. Therefore we are pleased with the establishment of Globelink Slovenia which will serve as our beach-head for services into and out of this region," said Globelink group chairman Tan Choon Wei.


Globelink network operates regular direct LCL consolidation services from various Far East origins into Koper and Rijeka. There are also regular export LCL consolidation services from Koper into Israel and Singapore. In addition, Globelink Slovenia operates an effective distribution road network from Koper port to neighbouring countries and is well positioned to provide comprehensive services from there.


With the opening of Slovenia and Croatia offices, Globelink now functions in 18 countries though 87 offices. Other than Slovenia and Croatia, Globelink also operates in Australia, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Pakistan, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UAE and Vietnam.
