UASC entry in southeast Asia-Australia trade a first

THE United Arab Shipping Co (UASC), China Shipping, Hyundai Merchant Marine and Hapag-Lloyd have started a service linking southeast Asia and Australia, according to ComPair Data.


The new weekly service - dubbed AAC1 by UASC, SAL by Hapag-Lloyd and Hyundai, and AUS3 by China Shipping - is run by UASC., Hapag-Lloyd, China Shipping and Hyundai Merchant Marine, with each of the four carriers providing a vessel each.


The rotation is Port Klang, Singapore, Fremantle, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Port Klang. This is UASC first time in the southeast Asia-Australia trade.
