DEPLOYING a single 672-TEU ship, Sakhalin Shipping Company (SASCO) is commencing a Shanghai-Vladivostok service from mid-September.
Initially, under a 12-day schedule, the company intends to add another containership to boost the frequency to a weekly service, reports Alphaliner.
Transit time between Shanghai and Vladivostok is expected to take four days. The service will call at Waigaoqiao in Shanghai and at the terminal of Vladivostok Sea Container Terminal in Vladivostok.
SASCO is a regional operator based at Vanino on Sakhalin Island in Eastern Russia that offers liner shipping connections between Sakhalin and the Russian mainland (mostly via Vladivostok) and Busan in South Korea.
