Bharati Shipyard net up 6.18% in Mar`08 qtr

Bharati Shipyard reported a 6.18% increase in its fourth-quarter earnings at Rs 326.51 million compared with Rs 307.51 million in the corresponding quarter, a year ago.

Net sales rose 62% to Rs 2,064.05 million for the fourth quarter ended Mar. 31, 2008 as against Rs 1,274.09 million in the corresponding quarter, a year ago.

Total income also rose 30.25% to Rs 2,068.89 million, up from Rs 1,588.34 million in the fourth quarter, a year ago.

The basic EPS, after extraordinary items, stood Rs 11.84 for the quarter ended March 2008.
