TAIWAN shipping major Wan Hai's first half revenue grew 33.8 per cent to US$919.8 million, while earning returned to the black to with a $52 million net profit following a $37.7 million loss in the same period last year.
Half-year operating profit EBIT of this Taiwan carrier reached $154.2 million, reversing a loss of $6.2 million the same period last year. This was due to a boom in trade between southeast and northeast Asian regions to where the carrier has paid close attention, said London's Containerisation International.
