TCC offers self-service, online schedule enquiry service

THE TCC web site, containership-company.com, now allows customers and business partners to query for suitable departures or arrivals, and to subscribe to updated email-schedules.


"Self-service, including online schedule enquiries, is a must for maintaining low costs as part of our no-frills approach to container shipping," said Lars Jensen, director Marketing & IT from TCC, a new box shipping company.


"Our online schedules are additionally available electronically for our booking partners consolidating cargo from smaller shippers and forwarders. Our partners can choose to re-publish the electronic schedules towards their own customers and use the schedules as a core for taking electronic bookings and giving online freight quotes," he said.


ARL's CEO, Rene Bendt, added: "e-Schedule is capable of re-publishing and re-branding the core transport services offered by a shipping line like TCC, so TCC's partner intermediaries can supplement the no-frills transport services offered by TCC with their own value-add services, like pick-up, delivery and multi-modal transport services, customs clearance, documentation and other supplementary services, leaving all players in the transport industry to focus on their core services and yet work seemingly together."
