Jurong Shipyard to move to AVEVA Marine engineering design

SINGAPORE's AVEVA Group plc, a provider of engineering design and information management solutions for the marine industry, has extended its association with Jurong Shipyard after Jurong selected AVEVA Marine (12 Series) as engineering and design partners on marine and offshore projects.

This comes as Jurong Shipyard, a unit of Sembcorp Marine, decided to move forwards with implementing AVEVA Marine (12 Series) and adopt AVEVA's latest generation of marine solutions.

AVEVA Marine (12 Series) has the ability to manage and secure legacy data while providing the solutions for marine engineering. AVEVA Marine is also suited for mega projects in the offshore segment where Jurong Shipyard is a major global player, a statement from AVEVA said.

"We are pleased that Jurong Shipyard has made the decision to migrate to AVEVA Marine and greatly value the trust that it has placed in AVEVA technology and our business relationship," said AVEVA Asia Pacific president Peter Finch.

"We are confident that the functionality and flexibility of AVEVA Marine (12 Series) will provide Jurong Shipyard the tools to deliver their global projects in the most timely and efficient manner possible," he said.
