APL starts US West Coast service to ICTSI Japanese terminal

Naha International Container Terminal, a subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI), which manages the international container terminal at the Port of Naha in Okinawa, Japan, welcomed a new US West Coast direct service launched by American President Lines (APL).


The PS5 service plies the ports of San Pedro and Oakland, California; Duth Harbor, Alaska; Pusan, South Korea; and Yokohama and Naha, Japan.


APL deployed five vessels on the route, each having a length of over 900 ft and capacity of almost 5,000 TEUs.
