Tianjin-Haikou container shipping line launched

A NEW container short-sea shipping line from Tianjin to the southern city of Haikou in Hainan province has been launched, Xinhua reported.

Two 260-TEU vessels are deployed on the line, which offers one sailing in each direction and also reefer container service for fruit and vegetable from Hainan to Tianjin. The line can reduce delivery time by three to four days, the report said.

This is the 15th container line launched at the port of Tianjin. Tianjin will become a hub for cargo moving between the Bohai Rim and Hainan.
