TAIPEI-based Cheng Lie Navigation Co Ltd (CNC) has expanded its strength in intra-Asia shipping business with three new services to provide full coverage of Pearl River Delta ports via Hong Kong.
The NCX service deploys three 1,700 TEU ships with 200 reefer plugs weekly with a port rotation as follows: Dalian, Xingang, Qingdao, Lianyungang, Hong Kong (HIT & MID), Shenzhen-Shekou, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong (HIT & MID) and back to Dalian.
The CHT service linking Korea to North China and Thailand complements its existing CTS service because of addition of calls at Xiamen, Hong Kong HIT (Southbound) and Bangkok reports Newark's Seaports Press Review. The service will deploy three 1,700-TEU ships with the port rotation of Incheon, Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong (HIT), Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Hong Kong (HIT), Xiamen and back to Incheon.
The HBS service from North China to Indonesia and on the way back from Singapore/Port Kelang to North China deploys four 2,700 TEU ships. The port rotation is as follows: Dalian, Xingang, Qingdao, Shenzhen-Shekou, Hong Kong (HIT), Jakarta, Port Kelang, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Hong Kong, Shanghai and back to Dalian.
With the launch of these services, effective immediately, CNC is upgrading its China 1 service linking China to south east Asia: This service deploys four 2,700-TEU ships, replacing the fleet's current 1,700-TEU vessels with a rotation of Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Manila (ATI & ICT), Jakarta, Surabaya, Hong Kong (MID & HIT) and back to Qingdao.
The deployment of bigger capacity vessels on this line will allow CNC to strengthen its presence on the market between China and South East Asia in response to strong customer demand in addition to benefiting from economies of scale, said the company statement.
