Kuehne + Nagel offers reefer LCL wine services

Kuehne + Nagel has launched temperature-controlled reefer LCL services for the wines and spirits industry.

The services are operated under the company's in-house NVOCC Blue Anchor Line and managed by Kuehne + Nagel's dedicated team for the drinks logistics sector. They feature fixed-day, bi-monthly sailings from Europe to Japan.

As a result, regular wine shipments collected from the world's top three wine producing countries in Europe, namely France, Italy and Spain, can be transported in a temperature-controlled environment direct to the consignee's door in Japan.

Furthermore, Kuehne + Nagel's teams at origin and destination countries are tasked with ensuring the efficient management of wine transportation, including customs brokerage and local deliveries.

"The new services also guarantee enhanced cargo status visibility for faster, smoother and more secure transportation. The whole process, including overland transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, consolidated container services and distribution, can be tracked and traced via KN Login, Kuehne + Nagel's award-winning logistics information systems," a company statement said.
