Fesco's Generalov named chairman of Russian shipowners union

PRESIDENT of Fesco Transport Group Sergey Generalov has been appointed chairman of the Council of Union of Russian Shipowners.

The selection was approved in view of changing the principles of consolidation of the council and improving its competence.

The council of Union of Russian Shipowners also approved the decision to split up the posts of president and chairman of the council, in order for the authority to enhance the efficiency of the management structure and decision making processes within the Union, said the Russian Transport Daily Report.

The Union of Russian Shipowners includes the representatives of 12 major shipping companies including Fesco.
