Jordan: Arab Bridge Maritime buys new vessel

(MENAFN - Jordan Times) By buying a new vessel, the Arab Bridge Maritime Company (ABMC) has brought up the number of its passenger and cargo fleet to six, in addition to another leased ship. The purchase of the new vessel, which can hold over 60 trucks, is in line with the company's plan to increase its transport capacity. The ABMC, established as a joint business venture by Jordan, Iraq and Egypt, is considered the only carrier, via its Aqaba-Nuweibeh route. The ABMC posted a $28 million net profit last year compared to $28.257 million in 2006.
