THE AAUS Asia-Australia service is being upgraded with a further peak season five-ship string that puts on another 2,400 TEU a week on the run between major Far East ports and Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
The service, offered by APL, Hamburg Sud, Hapag-Lloyd and Hyundai Merchant Marine, with Maersk chartering slots, will have three loops, northern, southern and peak season.
The northern loop rotation is Yokohama, Osaka, Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai-Yangshan, Ningbo, Sydney, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and back to Yokohama.
The southern loop rotation is Kaohsiung, Shenzhen-Chiwan, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and back to Kaohsiung.
The peak season loop will be Shanghai-Waigaoqiao, Shenzhen-Yantian, Hong Kong, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and back to Shanghai-Waigaoqiao.
