MOL levies peak season surcharge from mid-June to Mid-March

JAPANESE shipping giant has announced that it will levy a peak season surcharge on all cargo from Asia to North America starting June 15 to run to March 15 next year.

The eastbound surcharge will be US$400 per TEU, $500 per FEU, $565 per 40-foot high cube and $635 for 45-footers.

For the purposes of this announcement, Asia means West Asia, East Africa, the Middle East the Indian subcontinent and Oceania.
