Yang Ming receives 4,250-TEU boxship

Taiwanese shipping company Yang Ming today held a naming and delivery ceremony at the Kaohsiung shipyard of CSBC Corp., Taiwan for a 4,250-TEU containership.

The YM Eminence is the first of five sister vessels ordered from CSBC, and will be phased into the carrier's transpacific Pacific North West (PNW) service.

Yang Ming has 36 new containerships, ranging from 4,250 TEUs to 8,200 TEUs, and 12 bulk carriers that will be delivered by the end of 2013.
