May 6, 2010 Shipping

The CKYH Alliance of Cosco, "K" Line, Yang Ming and Hanjin has amended the port rotation and vessel deployment of its transpacific service, the PSW-1/CALCO-C service, that links China and Japan to Long Beach and Oakland, according to research by ComPair Data.

The service now calls at ports in Shanghai, Tokyo and Nagoya, while the stop at Kobe has been removed from the port rotation, which is as follows: Xiamen, Yantian, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Long Beach, Oakland, Tokyo, Nagoya, Shanghai, Xiamen, Yantian and Hong Kong.

The service will also in future deploy six instead of five containerships. However, the average vessel size has been reduced from 5,591 TEU to 5,100 TEU. All the ships are provided by "K" Line.
