Zim skips Colombo on Asia-Med loop, uses fewer, smaller ships

ISRAELI flag carrier Zim says its Asia-Med line will not be making a westbound call in Colombo, and will use 11 ships averaging 3,393 TEU rather the 12 averaging 3,800 TEU as previously announced.

The revised rotation for the service will see vessels departing from Shanghai to make their way on to Shenzhen-Da Chan Bay, Port Kelang, Mumbai, Haifa, Ashdod, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Hamburg, Alexandria, Limasso, Haifa, Ashdod, Colombo, and then back to Shanghai, ComPair Data reported.
