Wan Hai, Simatech, Evergreen launch Sri Lanka-East Africa service

WAN Hai Lines, in collaboration with Simatech Shipping and Evergreen, has launched a three-vessel service from Colombo to Mombasa, Kenya; Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and back.

Each ship will have a 1,200 TEU capacity, the first of which will sail from the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo on May 11.

The East Africa Line, in addition to providing new business opportunities, will also enhance the range and scope of the three operators' service profile.
