Maersk Line to increase activity in Tangier-Med port

Rabat - Maersk Line, one of the leading liner shipping companies in the world, will increase its activity at the Tanger-Med port, Danish Maersk Line group's CEO Eivind Kolding said on Tuesday during a visit to Morocco. In a statement to the press after a meeting with Prime Minister Abbas El Fassi, Kolding said his visit aims to explore investments opportunities in Morocco.

"We have started our activity in Morocco for several years and I am pleased with our relations," he underlined.
Kolding hailed the efforts undertaken by the Moroccan government, particularly in terms of infrastructure and agriculture, adding that the positive development indicators and the encouraging investment climate show this great progress.

The CEO of Maersk Line also expressed his willingness to provide the necessary assistance to Morocco's exporters to distribute their products all over the world.

Prime Minister Abbas El Fassi gave an overview of the dynamics of the national economy and the positive results which were reflected on the development indicators.

He recalled, in this regard, the reforms aiming at improving the climate of investment and the moralization of public life, a statement of the Prime Minister's Office said.

Besides its geo-strategic location, Morocco is a preferred destination for foreign investment in vital sectors thanks to its encouraging investment climate, the Moroccan PM added.
