Hapag-Lloyd to levy US$10 security surcharge from March 1

GERMANY's Hapag-Lloyd container line, rated the world's fifth biggest, will introduce a new surcharge because of rising security costs.

The Hamburg-based line will levy a US$10 Carrier Security Fee for trades using dollars or EUR8 (US$11.50) for trades using euros from March 1.
