DENMARK's Maersk Line will charge US$250 per TEU more on its Asia to Middle East and West Africa services from December 15.
The carrier's Far East-West Africa service will see a similar hike on the same day following a nod from the Asia West Africa Trade Agreement (AWATA) according to UK's International Freighting Weekly.
AWATA comprises of Maersk Line, China Shipping Container Line, CMA CGM, Delmas, Gold Star Line, MOL, Pacific International Line and Safmarine.
