Baltic ferry operator PZB put up for sale

Oct 13, 2009 Shipping

Polish ferry operator Polska Zegluga Baltycka (PZB) has been put up for sale by the Polish treasury. A 91.64% share packet in the company has been put up for sale, although the price is not given. Fellow Polish shipping firm Polska Zegluga Morska is known to be interested in the purchase of PZB. Such a purchase would represent a consolidation of the ferry operator market in Poland. Meanwhile, PZB has been co-operating with the Danish operator DFDS for one year so far on charter services from Swinoujscie (Poland) - Ystad (Sweden), Logistics Finland reports.
