MITSUI OSK Lines (MOL) is donating US$40,000 to aid relief efforts for victims of Typhoon Ketsana that struck the Philippines at the end of September.
The shipping company expressed sympathy for the victims in a statement, saying it hoped they will return to normal life as soon as possible.
MOL is making the donation through Manila-based Magsaysay-Mitsui OSK Marine, which provides recruitment and training of Filipino seafarers. The company has already started relief flights in the region, and is said to be considering other relief activities.
