NYK disaster relief for Asia Pacific disaster zone

JAPAN's NYK Line will provide donations and free ocean transport for relief supplies in response to the typhoon that hit the Philippines September 26, and the earthquake and subsequent tsunami that struck the Samoas September 29, and for the earthquake and tsunami in Sumatra of September 30.

Aid shipments will be coordinated with Japan Platform (JPF), an international humanitarian assistance organisation through the NYK Group - JPF Joint Aid Supplies Transportation Projects, a partnership that NYK has worked with since 2004.

Additionally, the NYK Group has started to collect donations from employees within the group and will add a "matching gift" to the collected donations.
