Shipping leaders will be recognized at UN event

The 15th Annual International Maritime Hall of Fame will honor six leaders from the shipping industry at a reception and dinner at the United Nations in New York on May 14.

The honorees are:

Adolf Adrion, chief executive officer, Hapag-Lloyd AG.

James A. Capo, chairman and CEO, U.S. Maritime Alliance Ltd.

C.C. Chen, chairman, Wan Hai Lines Ltd.

Axel C. Eitzen, CEO, Camillo Eitzen & Co. ASA.

Jon Hemingway, CEO and president, SSA Marine.

Reinhard Lange, deputy CEO, Kuehne + Nagel International AG.

The Maritime Association Port of New York & New Jersey, in 1993, founded the Annual International Maritime Hall of Fame to recognize maritime visionaries, who through excellence in their company, organization, or services, best exemplify the qualities of futuristic thinking that will guide the maritime industry in the 21st Century.
