WISTA AGM brings new leadership to their Executive Committee

At their Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association’s (WISTA) Annual Meeting at the IMO in London last week, the delegate body voted in three new members to its Executive Committee:  Vera Chalkidis, Commercial Director at Athenian Sea Carriers, Ltd. in Athens, Greece, was elected President, succeeding Marita Lille Scott who had completed her term.  The newly elected Secretary is Consuelo Rivero, and Agent for Ership of Huelva, Spain who succeeds Irene Lim.  Ms. Lim is now taking a position as Executive Committee member, replacing Karin Orsel of the Netherlands who had completed her term.  Another addition to the Executive Committee is Anna Risfelt Hammargren, Director of Maritime Forum in Stockholm, Sweden.  She replaces Carleen Lyden-Kluss of the United States, who is taking over the reins of Press Officer from Marit Eggen who created the position four years ago.
These new faces join existing Executive Committee members:  Kathleen Haines of the United States, Irene Rosberg of Denmark, and Dime Agboire of Nigeria.
